Fondazione Milano with Milano Teatro Scuola Paolo Grassi will participate to the third edition of Milano Summer School: a summer camp for students from around the world, sponsored by the Comune di Milano, Department of Turism, Local and Identity Marketing.
The event involves more than thirty schools, academies and universities in those areas where the city of Milan is world famous (fashion, design, theatre, dance, visual arts, management and more).
From July 4th to August 6th 2011 at Milano Scuola Paolo Grassi, rich and varied is the offer of intensive monographic and multidisciplinary workshops focused on Theatre Directing, Acting, Playwriting and Theatre Dance Training, Italian School (Commedia dell'Arte, Opera, Masks), together with international methods (Stanislavskij, Strasberg, Lecoq, Feldenkrais, Laban, Contact Improvisation)
A unique opportunity for those who always wanted to follow a path of development of their expressive potential, to deepen their aptitude orientation and to increase training and education.
Through a rich offer of courses, tools, practises, methods and languages will be explored, within the different fields, in the context of one of the schools that represent the educational system and culture of excellence in Milan.
The workshops are designed and devided into thematic trails to be found within the:
Theatre Masterclasses and Dance Masterclasses.
the basics, the creativity, the technique, the character, the profession, the rhythm
It will be possible to follow an entire thematic trail, to create a transversal one or to attend a single course, workshops are opened to beginners, to those who already have some technique, or to already professionals; this is possible because they are devided into introductory, in-depth and specialization courses.
The duration of each masterclass varies from 15 to 60 hours for 5/6 hours a day for 3 to 12 days, with fees starting from 55,00 up to 420,00 euros and 15% discount on the third course attended.
Languages: Italian and English (depending on the number of non-Italian speaking students)
Availability is limited to a maximum of 20 and a minimum of 12 places.
In collaboration with Università degli Studi di Milano and CALCIF - Centro d’Ateneo per la Promozione della Lingua e Cultura Italiana, it will also be offered an Italian course for foreigners:

In addition, students are offered the opportunity of visits and events arranged exclusively for them, and a number of initiatives and facilities to be found on the website Milano Summer School.
